On the occasion of the redesign of the innovation support regional system, in order to increase the visibility and the effectiveness of company support structures for innovation (BIOCRITT, CRITT Environmental Chemistry, CRITT Special Circuit Conception and Telematics, CRITTMECA and the Île-de-France Technological Development Network), and especially for responsible innovation, the Île-de-France region, the state and OSEO have decided to merge them and create, in 2009, the Paris Region Innovation Center.
The Centre has three main missions: Support SMEs and help them making their innovation project a reality Through their expertise, very concrete, in terms of innovative project engineering, the PRIC consultants support SMEs prior to putting their innovation project on the market, by directing them to the adequate partners, the skills needed for the project’s success and the funding. Since the conception of their project, SMEs are guided by the Centre towards a responsible innovation approach.
Spread responsible innovation best practicesand collaboration with academic research
The Center strongly support responsible innovation, which not only aims to seize new markets but also permits to reduce ecological footprint and social inequalities. And to encourage SMEs from the region to conceive their innovation project according to sustainable development principles, the Center has put specific support in place.The Center works tightly with cells of research structure valuation to make their work known and their know-how serve companies. And, to favor the network of public and private actors serving innovative SMEs of the region, it develops and leads the Île-de-France Region Innovation Network. Networking public and private innovation actors The Center federates the public and private actors of valuation of research, innovation and economic development in the Innovation Region Network. The Network animation team organizes meeting to bring members of the Network together, identify skills and actions of the other members, discover tools made available by the Center and discuss the support systems and the SMEs shared project tracking. The Center also organizes trainings to make actors of the Network joining up around transversal themes and take their skills to the next level.
